Civic Belarus

The Civic Belarus was founded (then as an “International Association”) in 2004 with the aim of all-round support for democratic initiatives and the development of civil society in Belarus. Civic Belarus aims to transfer the Czech experience of social and political transformation to Belarus. It currently supports young activists and (mostly) informal Belarusian associations both directly in Belarus and in nearby countries (mainly Poland and the Czech Republic) through training, information exchange, consultations and direct support for selected projects. Civic Belarus also seeks to transfer Czech experience with the social and political transformation to Belarus. Civic Belarus is also one of the supporters of European Radio for Belarus and one of the co-founders of Belarusian Human Rights House in Vilnius.
