Association for International Affairs

AMO is a non-governmental non–profit Prague-based organization founded in 1997. Its main aim is to promote research and education in the field of international relations. AMO facilitates expression and realization of ideas, thoughts, and projects in order to increase education, mutual understanding, and tolerance among the people. AMO represents a unique and transparent platform in which academics, business people, policymakers, diplomats, students, the media, and NGOs can interact in an open and impartial environment.

AMO’s Strategic Pillars:

Education: Prague Student Summit has been the oldest and biggest project of AMO so far. Throughout the years, it has prepared thousands of high school and university students from all over the Czech Republic for the future no matter what they plan to be.
Research: AMO Research Center has established itself as the preeminent independent foreign policy think-tank in the Czech Republic. It produces independent analyses, encourages high-level expert and public debate, and makes advocacy on local, regional, and European level.
Open Society: AMO international projects have supported the civil sector development in the European neighbourhood. Their aim has been to transmit the central European experience from the post-communist transformation towards democracy while working with teachers, pupils, journalists, and civil servants.
