Czech Centre Brussels, the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the EU and People in Need cordially invite you to the opening screening of One World in Brussels 2019.
The International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival will open with the screening of Gods of Molenbeek, a film by the Finnish director Reetta Huhtanen, capturing the prejudice-unburdened friendships of children from families with various religious backgrounds. Please register to the opening by replying to this email before 19 April.
One World in Brussels brings again a selection of the most interesting documentaries screened in March at One World in Prague. This year’s festival main theme, Safe Proximity, aims to highlight what we have in common, rather than what divides us. It will be also the occasion to open a debate about human rights issues such as the current crisis in Venezuela, the freedom of the media in Russia and the recent events in Poland, and the war-devastated Syria through screenings followed by talks with human rights defenders, filmmakers, politicians and academics.
The 13th edition of One World in Brussels will take place from 23 to 30 April 2019. Screenings and debates are free. Registrations will soon open at oneworld.cz
One World in Brussels is organised by People in Need and co-organised by Czech Centre Brussels and the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the EU and local partners.
