Imprisoned Venezuelan lawyer Rocío San Miguel receives the Forum 2000 International Award for Courage and Responsibility
In recognition of her extremely important work, both domestically and through her activity in international organizations, Venezuelan lawyer Rocío San Miguel Sosa was accorded the International Forum 2000 Award for Courage and Responsibility during the 28th Forum 2000 Conference. Rocío San Miguel’s life exemplifies the profound truth embedded in Václav Havel’s words: “We may all realize, that he or she – regardless of how insignificant or powerless they may feel – is in a position to change the world.”
