DEMAS – Association for Democracy Assistance and Human Rights was awarded the grant by the National Endowment for Democracy to implement a project titled “Assisting Civil Society in Russia”. The project was implemented in 2013 – 2014 focusing on facilitation of cooperation between civil societies in the EU and Russia. One part of this project was the elaboration of studies with an overarching topic “Potential of Civil Society Actors‘ Engagement in Different Aspects of EU-Russia Relations”. In this publication authors evaluate opportunities of mutual cooperation of civil societies from EU and Russia and recognize the areas where they can successfully advocate the role of civil society in the official EU Russia dialogue.
