The eight year of the annual Czech-German Young Professionals Program (CGYPP) was successfully launched last week. Thirteen participants from Germany and the Czech Republic have been invited to Prague to participate in the annual series of workshops and to collaborate on relevant economic, political, and social issues. Zaorálek has shown that he is more a CSSD leader of the Moravia-Silesia region than a foreign minister. In a recent interview with Czech daily Hospodářské noviny, Foreign Minister Lubomír Zaorálek went against EU institutions – virtually every one of his answers was a complaint. NATO Heads of State and Government will gather in Brussels for the 28th summit of the Alliance this year. What could be the impact of Brexit or Donald Trump’s election win? What is the position of the new NATO member states? A policy paper by Jakub Kufčák reflects the development since the NATO summit in Wales in 2014, starting from the overall strategic context and ending with a view from the Czech Republic. The publication of this policy paper was co-sponsored by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
