The Czech Local Action Group Network (NS MAS) associates more than 170 local action groups – partnerships of municipalities, non-profit sector, businesses, and citizens that operate on the principle of community-led local development (CLLD). Together, we promote the development of rural areas and smaller towns based on local needs, civic participation, and cross-sector cooperation.
We believe that decision-making on regional development should be in the hands of local people who want to develop it sustainably and fairly. Our mission is to defend their interests towards the state and the European Union, support their professional development, and connect them with each other.
In addition to regional development, we focus on topics such as promoting civil society, education, climate adaptation, community energy, and engaging young people in public life.
We are part of many different European rural networks, where we gather inspiration and transfer our experience, particularly to the Western Balkans and the Eastern Partnership countries, where we participate in development projects and strengthen the role of local partnerships.
