CZECH NATIONAL INTERESTS AFTER THE FISCAL TREATY
The debate about the Czech decision not to sign the Fiscal Treaty has shown again, how are different views on pursuing of Czech national interests in the European Union. The dispute is not only between the government and opposition, but also, interestingly, within the government. There occur new and new blueprints of far-reaching changes of the political framework of the EU as the problems of the Eurozone continue. What should be the Czech position in this important debate? What might be the impact of absence in some integration project on EU? Does the political debate on the Czech participation in the Fiscal Pact continue?
These questions will be dealt on the sixth expert seminar organised by the Association for International Affairs in the project called Challenging the Czech Tales on European Policies, which is supported by the Open Society Foundations.
