BOOMING ASIA AND THE EU AFTER THE CRISIS:

ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY OR GEOPOLITICAL CHALLENGE?

Invited experts will focus particularly on economic and security implications of the recent global crisis and the growing competition of the emerging new Asian economic centers for the European Union. The debate will evaluate the effectiveness of the EU’s united approach toward Asia and assess the implications of the growing Chinese economic-diplomatic offensive in East and South-Eastern Europe for EU’s long-term foreign policy and security strategy.
