The upcoming Forum 2000 Conference (October 11–13, Prague) marks a major milestone. It is not only the conference’s 30th edition, but it also takes place as we commemorate what would have been Václav Havel’s 90th birthday. At a time when democracy is under pressure from both external authoritarianism and internal weakening, Forum 2000 seeks to identify practical ways to build a renewed global democratic architecture.
The discussions will revolve around the following thematic areas:
- Power, Democracy, and the Future of the Rules-Based Order
- Restoring Democratic Meaning: Participation and Representation
- Forum for Ukraine
- Democracy and Technology: Values at Risk in the Digital Age
- Thematic and Regional Focus
