30th Forum 2000

October 11–13, 2026
Prague

The upcoming Forum 2000 Conference (October 11–13, Prague) marks a major milestone. It is not only the conference’s 30th edition, but it also takes place as we commemorate what would have been Václav Havel’s 90th birthday. At a time when democracy is under pressure from both external authoritarianism and internal weakening, Forum 2000 seeks to identify practical ways to build a renewed global democratic architecture.

The discussions will revolve around the following thematic areas:

  • Power, Democracy, and the Future of the Rules-Based Order
  • Restoring Democratic Meaning: Participation and Representation
  • Forum for Ukraine
  • Democracy and Technology: Values at Risk in the Digital Age
  • Thematic and Regional Focus
