28th Forum 2000 Conference

With a little over six weeks to go until the conference, we are delighted to announce our first speakers. Prominent leaders, intellectuals, and experts, including Petr Pavel, President, Czechia; Vladimir Kara-Murza, opposition leader, Russia; Joseph Asunka, CEO of Afrobarometer, Ghana; Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, Head of the United Transitional Cabinet, Belarus; Cecilia Requena, Senator, Bolivia; Walter Russell Mead, Hudson Institute, USA; Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, Member of Parliament, Ukraine; and Markéta Pekarová Adamová, Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Czechia, will lead three days of important and timely discussions.

Discussions will include the topics of “Securing Elections in the age of AI, Deepfakes, and Disinformation Campaigns,” “Wartime Parliament in Operation: Lessons Learned from Ukrainian Democracy,” and “Illiberal Foreign Policies and Their Impact on Western Unity,” alongside regional and country sessions on Latin America, Africa, India and the Indo-Pacific, China, Iran, and Myanmar.
